ELIGIBILITY
This Al Merrick Experience Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is only open to legal residents of the continental United States (excluding RI) age 13 years or older. It is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Employees of Channel Islands Surfboards and its respective parent, retailers, distributors, affiliates and their agents, advertising, promotion and production agencies and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings and spouses of children or siblings) and household members are not eligible. Participants under the age of 18 must receive permission from a parent or guardian to enter.

By attempting to submit an entry, you release Channel Islands Surfboards and its parent company, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, retailers, distributors, affiliates and their agents, advertising, promotion and production agencies from all losses and any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, costs or expenses, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, property damage, criminal prosecution, personal injury and/or death, arising out of your participation in this Sweepstakes.

Failure to comply with all rules and regulations associated with the “Al Merrick Experience Sweepstakes” could result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes.

ENTRY

You are automatically entered if you make a purchase on www.cisurfboards.com/shop or submit your information (no purchase necessary) on www.cisurfboards.com/newsletter during the Sweepstakes period. A valid entry will require submission of a valid e-mail address, zip code, and first & last name. These are the only methods of entry. By entering the Al Merrick Experience Sweepstakes, you are also giving Channel Islands Surfboards permission to contact you via e-mail at the address you provide. Channel Islands Surfboards is not responsible for any lost, late, delayed, illegible and/or incomplete entries. Channel Islands Surfboards is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry information caused by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes.

ALL SUBMISSIONS
All entries are subject to verification. Any entry that is tampered with, counterfeited, illegible, reproduced, contains printing or other errors, obtained where prohibited or not obtained legitimately, is null and void. In the event that production, seeding, printing or other errors cause more than the stated number of prizes of any category to be claimed, Channel Islands Surfboards reserves the right to suspend delivery of prizes, without prior notice.

Channel Islands Surfboards reserves the right to, in its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend this Sweepstakes.

SUBMISSION REVIEW

All entries must be received by 11:59 PM PT on August 31, 2011.

On September 1, 2011, one (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from eligible entries received during the entry period. The winner will be notified by email or Federal Express on or about September 2, 2011. If a prize notification letter, email, or a prize is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.

PRIZE AND ITS APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”)
There will be one (1) prize awarded for the Al Merrick Experience Sweepstakes, consisting of the following:

– Surfboard pre-shaping phone consultation with Al Merrick

– Personal surfboard shaping session with Al Merrick (*travel to and from the shaping session is not included)

– One (1) custom Al Merrick shaped surfboard (excluding SUP, tow boards, & color work)

– Channel Islands factory tour (*travel to and from the factory tour is not included)

– Video of your surfboard’s production

– One (1) Dane Reynolds Signature Leash

– One (1) Dane Reynolds Signature Traction Pad

– One (1) Channel Islands Day Bag

– One (1) Channel Islands Travel Bag

The approximate retail value of the prize is $2,000.00. The prize may not be assigned, transferred, changed, exchanged, substituted or redeemed for cash and includes applicable sales tax on purchases.

Winner will be solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, license, fees or other costs. Channel Islands Surfboards will ship prize to winner at Channel Islands Surfboards’ expense. Channel Islands Surfboards is not responsible for delays in delivery of any prize. Winner shall bear all risk of loss to prize after it has been received. Channel Islands Surfboards is under no obligation to provide winner with any other substitute prize. In the event a winner is or becomes ineligible, the Prize will be forfeited and awarded to the first runner up.

Odds of winning a prize depend on number of eligible entries received. Prize is non-transferable; no substitutions, exchanges, or product redemptions. Winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release within fourteen (14) days of notification or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected. Prize winners must redeem their prize within three (3) months from the date of the execution of the Affidavit/Release.

By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules. Participants agree that this Sweepstakes is exclusively governed by the laws of the State of Vermont. Any claims arising out of the Sweepstakes shall be governed by Vermont law and may be brought only in a federal or state court in Vermont. If any provisions of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.

By accepting a prize, winner grants to Channel Islands Surfboards the right to use his/her name, likeness, hometown and biographical information, for any lawful purpose, without further permission or compensation, except where prohibited by law.
