Bio
California’s next great hope for the ASP World Tour – Nat Young has proven time and time again to be one of the fiercest competitors blazing his way through the qualifying ranks. At 21 years old Nat sits on the verge of qualification coming upon the half way mark for the 2012 year.
His break out year came in 2008 when he won the covenant Governors Cup taking home the NSSA Open Men’s national final at Lower Trestles. He then went on to win the Rip Curl GromSearch National title, the ASP Cold Water Classic at his home break Steamers Lane as well as teeing up his run to win the North American ASP Pro Junior season title in 2009.
With the support from his sponsors Nike, Creatures of Leisure, FCS fins and Channel Island Surfboards, Nat has traveled the world to compete for America and solidify a place on the elite ASP World Tour amongst the best 32 surfers in the world. The journey continues with high hopes for 2012 and beyond!
Results
Nat Young is this generation’s pure athlete in surf. Knowing that hard work and persistence will pay off with results. Proving himself in the North American amateur ranks as well as the Pro Junior world Nat now looks to battle for a spot on the elite World Championship tour amongst the top 32 surfers in the world.

- 2008 CWC WQS 4 star event win. At home in front of his hometown crowd Nat won the biggest event of his career to date.
- 2009 North American Pro Junior Champion.
- 2010 2nd in the World Junior Ranks behind young Australian Jack Freestone.
- 2010 2nd at World Junior Championships in North Narrebean NSW Austarlia.
- 2010 2nd place in Sri Lanka Pro barely defeated by WT Surfer Julian Wilson.

Exposure
Nat has been showing up around surf media for years. With one of the most aggressive well-rounded approaches in surfing today he has gained the reputation with surf photographers as hard working and always one to produce.
Movies
2011 Innersection – A Taylor Steele production Nat was voted on as one of the 15 guys to make the final cut and have a full-featured section in the Movie.
2011 Get Rad – A Kyle Boothman production about Nat’s hometown and the surf culture around Santa Cruz. He was the star of the movie with some great surfing.
2010 Innersection – This was the first year for the new Taylor Steele Production concept. Nat produced a great section many viewed as a top performer.
With limited time dedicated to going on surf publication produced trips Nat has made the most over the recent years producing spreads and features around every trip he goes on. With a finish of 5th on the Surfer Mag HOT 100 is proof to Nat’s current dominance and is foreshadowing for what is to come in his young career.

Contest wins equal online coverage. With Nat’s win in Huntington Beach he has launched himself on a high-speed path to qualification. That coupled with great support from Nike, Creatures and Channel Islands his profile has continued to grow through short commercials and social media activation.
