Motor Boat Too by Rob Machado
Model Description
The “Too” is an all-around performance minded surf craft, well-suited for both pocket surfing and at sections. Rob super-charged the original Motorboat, added tail rocker, deck rocker, and foiled out the thickness. The bottom is single to double to vee out the back providing drive and forgiveness. The end result is an updated version that surprised Rob in its performance in all conditions, not a novelty but a user friendly board for all skill levels.

Which board between this and W Ripper is more oriented for the small condition?
Joe,
They are both geared towards small to medium surf, but the MBToo has a much flatter rocker which will make it slightly easier to surf.
Ok thanks a lot.
Regards
Joe
I’m 6’1″ 200 lbs. I’m looking at the Stock Dims and I know with my weight I have to be around 32 to 33 L. I’m an advance surfer so I wanted to know what Dims you recommend for me to order?
Noe,
Have you tried this link? http://cisurfboards.com/suggested_boards.php
It does not have a board recommendation for a motorboat too. Only regular motor boat.
Noe,
Try moving the weight up and down.
I tried 200 intermediate and got MBTOO 61 x 19 3/4 x 2 5/8 + 33.4L
I’m 155 lbs and 5’11. Which MBToo do you recommend for me to order? Thanks.
Ademar,

just rode my new MB too for the first time. Waist to head high and glassy. Never in my life have I stepped on a board and have it immediately feel like such an extension of myself. Needless to say I love it, and am hooked. Super forgiving, yet driving and flying through turns and sections.
Question, what model would be similar to use as a regular shortboard when the waves go above heard high?
Thanx
Brandon,
Great to hear the feedback.
Thats a tough one as it is sometimes not the best to have that skatey feel in juicey waves. What you could do is custom order the “too” 3-5 inches longer, and put a rounded pin on it and make it a step up. I know Rob rides his is fairly large surf.
I noticed you make this board in a swallow tail. Does the swallow tail make this model ride different than say the squash?
Ty,
The squash provides more lift, the swallow will allow the tail to sink quicker during turns. It will increase the upward range of the board in wave size.
Hi guys,
So excited to try my new MB Too, I got the 5’7 and plan to start it on my futures AM2. Are you aware of any insight into the best fin set up (based on the thruster model) that will help me truly put this board to the test?
Thanks guys and can’t wait!
Alex
Which are the main differences between the Gravy and this board?
