Double HelixDouble Helix Technology

PROTON

The Dane Reynolds Proton model is also offered in Double Helix tech (see flyer/helix characteristics), at 6′ 1 1/2″ x 18 5/8″ x 2 1/4″. This is an exact replica of Dane’s favorite Proton, but with the new flex pattern the Helix brings you. If you loved the lively feeling the single concave bottom the Proton offered you before, now take it to the next level with the only polyurethane core perimeter flex board on the market.

FLYER

The Flyer is our top selling shortboard, and for 2009 we offer it in the new Double Helix tech. With increased performance and consistency being the ultimate goal, we now bring you three sizes, 5-10, 6-0 and 6-4. The Helix is a polyurethane core not EPS(the only PU core perimeter flex board on the market). The Helix rails are removed and encased in a special weave and then put in a glass press. When flexed, an increased amount of recoil provides the rider with an incredible amount of spring out of turns. This board is still hand finished in the USA and guaranteed to bring a new sense of life into your surfing.

TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION

This is the first release from our Skunkworks research and development program. Not to be confused with graphite rail boards you’ve seen on the market, the Double Helix offers a unique three dimensional helliptical rail wrap. During the designing and testing process we found that completely enclosing the rail in a secret blend of micro-synthetic fibers added strength and gave the board a fast and springy feel. Stringerless construction, epoxy layup and a special blend of polyurethane foam, these boards are a true extension of your feet.

If you already love The Flyer or have never tried one, you will freak on how fast this board gets you to where you want to go.
