The T-Low is another of Dane’s favorites and is our featured board for this week. This wasn’t pictured in his quiver, but is a favorite of his and other team riders. Dane placed second at the Quiksilver Pro France on this model.

Really interesting that Dane is throwing the two fcs plugs mixed with the future thruster setup on the last two boards. Anyone seen this before?
Dane like the GX quad trailer, only available with FCS tabs, and he likes the Futures Merrick fins, hence the mix.
#4looks like a neck beard with a double wing to narrow the tail without adding a forward bump that would create an added turning point? Trying to get a narrower tail neck beard for mor control without making it too loose and loosing drive?
Jeff,
Dane asked for 4 slightly different versions of a double wing squash before the 2012 US Open. They incorporated rocker from the NF and older Flyer. We built four of them, simply numbered them 1-4 and the #4 worked so well he rode it in the contest. Since then Dane and other members of the team have refined it to the point where Kelly and Dane are travelling with them.
There are a few different theories on the double wing; breaking up the curve creating a pivot point, or disrupting water flow to make the board release, or being able to reduce/increase voulme in the tail without loosing drive from a wide curve- probably a combo of all three but it works great.

Volumes on Danes boards?
Greg,
He is coming back down, usually around 27L at the moment.
Cheers CI
Did Dane bring any updated 6’1″ “Magic” Rookies? Or are those the DFRs?
Zoop, 100% DFR
Dane likes the angles and cants that the FCS trailers offer over the Futures pre-set fin cants.
that t low look really pulled in is it kinda semi gun board? I thnk Kelly like it too he carry one as well?
What are thows 2 boards second and third from the back of danes quiver??
Just wondering what’s “T-Low”? New Model? just a custom?
Bruno
You can order them custom now, and should be in shops about March 15.
R&D on the T-Low began with Tanner Gudauskas seeking a lower rockered short¬board and has resulted in an ultra-forgiving all-around performance board.
The plan shape of the T-Low takes a different path than the extreme curves in the DFR and Proton by utilizing medium entry and low exit rockers. T-Low bottom contours combine single concave at the 12” mark to flat exit through the back fin. The rails are tapered so consider riding this board 1/16” thicker than your DFR, Rubble, Proton, Rookie etc.
The T-Low has proven to be a unique design, being user friendly and still meeting world tour requirements as evident by Tanner’s surfing and Dane Reynolds riding a T-Low prototype to a 2012 CT final in France. Tanner says “If you could take one board on a trip this would be it.”
T-Low is in all CI team riders’ bags for the Quik Pro at Snapper March 2-13.
Can the #4 be a model or ordered custom?
Its looks really fun. Summers getting closer too! Thanks.
What are the details on the T-Low? Future board release to the public? Interesting modification to the standard squash tail…
Meant to say T-Low and #4
can the #4 be custom ordered or will become a model? summers coming and it looks super fun! thanks
You can pre-order a #4 now, but it wont go into production until late March for a mid-April delivery.
It will become a model as the feedback from team has been good and people are beginning to ask for them.
