Updated board models and dimensions. Sorry for the confusion!

6'0" Dane has been riding this new model that is really close to completion. Dane calls it the DFR. It's 6'0" x 19 x 2 5/16" with Future Fins. Most of the sick let lefts in the video, Singles Pt. III, are on this model. More info coming soon.

This particular board is the Fred Rubble. A 5'11" x 18 7/7 x 2 5/16". Dane mixed it up on these and ordered the old school logo placement.

Doesnt dane ride a rookie on some waves?
Nose logo Rubble?
Hi ci
the board in the second shot has different stickers. Is that one a rubble too?
Also. just curious about when dane rides a rubble step up. is it the same as a reugular rubble just longer or is it tweaked? im riding a rubble atm at those same dims that danes is and want a board for 6ft plus days. im 5’11 and weigh 75kg. What would u recomend?
Pat, if it’s for real 6 ft(double overhead-ish), you’d probably want something around 6’3″x19″x2 3/8″ in a roundtail. Having a little more thickness is good in larger steeper surf. If it’s for a rippable open faced wave, go 2 5/16″.
Photo 3 is an MTF.
Photo 4 is a dumpster diver.
thats some of the best surfing I’ve ever seen , he destroys those pocket left handers
I’m considering a Neck Beard or a Dumpster Diver for when it’s 1-2′.
I’m 5’8″, 77kg, my all-rounder is a 6’0″ x 18 3/8″ x 2 3/16″
What dimensions should I get each of these in? Also, what fins do you recommend for these models?
Thanks
Joe,
At 170lbs and advanced you could ride the 5’6 x 19 ¼ x 2 ¼ Beard (26.5L) or the Diver 5’6 x 19 ¼ x 2 ¼ (26.3L)
Go thicker custom or inch longer stock if you want added paddle or consider yourself intermediate.
For sure get the 4.75 Merrick template for these wider tails in either Futures or FCS
whats the difference with the new DFR and the normal FR?
also what volume would a 6’3 x 19 x 2 3/8 F.R. (Roundtail) Step-Up come in at?
thanks CI.
Andrew the DFR is a completely unrelated to the Fred Rubble… more on the DFR in the next few weeks, not ready to let the cat outta the bag yet.
Your 6’3″ Rubble Step volume is being calc’d get back to you soon
Hey CI
I just saw a custom Fred Rubble and am curious to know what volume it packs. The board is 5’11 x 19 1/4 x 2 7/16 and it is the team light (S cloth). This board is extremely light and somehow does not feel thick at all (compared to my 5’8 wizard sleeve).
I appreciate your help.
I’m 6ft 2inches tall and 181 pounds.
My standard shooter is a 6’2 x 18 3/4 x 2 5/16 Remix.
What size should I order my Fred Rubble ?
I’m thinking 6’0 x 19 1/4 x 2 3/8 ?
Your advice would be helpful.
Cheers!
Josh,
Your ReMix has just under 28L of volume and is rate for an advanced surfer at 180 to 185.
That Rubble has 29L, sounds perfect for you as a board with a tad more float.
does the MTF have future fins in this video????
Larry,
No FCS
thinking of ordering a custom neck beard, im 5’11 170 and surf in the orange county area, im a an very borderline intermediate surfer, (probably on the low end). what size should i get? ps. i have a 6’0 x 19 1/8 2 3/8 rubble that is magic if you needed a jumping off point for dims. thanks!
Joe, Your Rubble is 28.6L and rated for a 190lb expert.
If you use that as a reference you should consider a 5’8 x 19 ¾ x 2 3/8 neckbeard at 29.6L
