Definitely agree with SSurf. Mick didn’t even complete his last maneuver. That was an 8.7 at best, not a 9.7. I’d be ashamed to win like that. The judges must have gotten paid off. This final will ALWAYS been known for Kelly getting robbed. Disappointing way to remember Michael Peterson.

That’s why surfing sucks as a competitive sport. It’s too subjective. Mick was ripping, however I think Kelly’s better. He just surf’s better than Mick and everyone out the. Just give him his 12th title already! yeeewwww

@TJL and @anthony, Aussie’s are always funny because they feel like they deserve to win by virtue of being Australian. Just because Mick is Australian doesn’t mean he magically deserved those scores. This is true by account of virtually every person that viewed that heat, that was: A. sober, B. Not Australian or employed by Rip Curl.
This heat was the biggest mistake the ASP has made in judging in a LONG time and it was painfully obvious It is just a shame that the surf media industry is to “code of the bro” to put anything out there.
Kelly was happy quirting a bottle of wine on mick, you yanks cannot win every time .
