    More like a Modi-Flyer?
Can Snookies be custom ordered as a step-down rookie?
Would they grovel better than an F.R., for example?

      Andrew,
The Snookie is experimental, a shrunk down widened and thickened Rookie with a little added tail flip, still in development.
Unknown if they would grovel better than an FR with that added kick, but conceptually would have more volume.

thought he was riding DHD at snappers?

      Stu,

Correct he did ride a DHD. Jordy is not a CI team rider, simply a very good customer, he likely has quite a few DHDs while there in Australia.

i’ve been looking at a rookie model for like 2 years, and never get around to buying it. I really like the outline. I wanted to custom order it,, because the stock dimensions seem to thin to me (i am 5’9ish and 170 pounds), but Im always geared towards another board (be it the whip, remix or fred r) I wanted it 6’0 or 6’1, 18 5/8 or 18 3/4, x 2 3/8′s. I really didn’t want to go 1/4 or 3/16s thick on a board, that just sounds to thin to me. Is there a valid reason why a rookie like the one i want wouldn’t work?

      Tom,
Agreed stock dims are not always the best fit for us guys that are “standard” height and weight.
A rookie in the sims you are suggesting will work just as good as the regular dim ones.
Some team riders are experimenting with Rookies at 5’11″ x 19 x 2 1/2 and they work well.

Jordy going crazy in quarters now in the mixed up mushy walls. What was he riding? Snookie? F.R.? Whip?

Jordy and Kelly have WHIPS in their quivers as per blog site, are these the original whips ? Single concave or black flag whip ?

Looking to order a rookie for a big guy. I am 6’4” and 215 lbs so the standard dimensions are not enought for me.
    Would a rookie at 6’4” 20 1/8 x 2 3/4 work for me? thank you.

      Rafael,

You will want to get about 36L to 38L
Go here to see stock dims that fit your size http://cisurfboards.com/suggested_boards.php
Your suggestion looks very close given the dims of a Flyer or Dagger at your weight. At you are 6’4″ you might bump it to 6’5″ in length with those dims and should be good.

Similar size and weight to Jordy (like the quiver lads), ride a lean 6’6 33L and a flat fat summer 6’0 35L bash about (among others). Do I look toward squashing my performance board down to 6’4 or will only a top level pros notice this for punting n riding out of switch?

Chris – you can go short, just make you go wider and thicker. Take Jordy’s dims and go up from there. – CI
