Cory Arrambide: A Cheese Stick Weekend

November 23, 2011 / Cory Arrambide

Film/edit Alex Neiberg

Cory Arrambide on his Cheese Stick Weekend:

“Cheese Stick Weekend” was an edit made focusing on the Cheese Stick model Ive been riding recently.. a few waves were on my Fred Rubble model. I have been working on finding a good all around short board for fun beach breaks mainly for this upcoming QS season and the Cheese Stick has been insane! It’s been a toss up between the Rubble and the Cheese Stick in my arsenal of boards and I can’t figure out which I like more. I like how the Cheese Stick looks more shortboard-y on the wave rather than more of a small wave board like my Fred Rubbles have been looking. I think that’s just for me because it looks insane for Conner and obviously some guy name Kelly. So, here’s me getting all cheesy this last swell! CA

Hi CI, i’m 5’6 and 146.6 lbs, i’m thinking of a 5’8 fred rubble and a 5’10 proton like dane’s 6’0′s (a bit larger than the normal one), what would you recomend in terms of dimensions and volume for custom order please?
    Thanks greatings from france.

      Yann,

      Those boards seem a little long for your height, but at those lengths and assuming you are intermediate, do 5’8″ x 18 7/8 x 2 1/4 ” and 6’0″ 18 3/4 x 2 3/16.

Thanks a lot, consider that i’m advanced, i’m ok with the 5’8 rubble, but for the proton, and advanced level, don’t you think i could go 5’10?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLY0e5OCl88 old video, i progressed a lot since then…
    Thanks
